Angela Cole is a dance artist, teacher, and choreographer based in Providence, RI. She received her BA in Dance and Performance Studies from Roger Williams University and is a recipient of the Kelli Wike Davis Outstanding Achievement in Dance Award. Upon graduating, Angela performed works by New England-based choreographers including Cathy Nicoli, Meghan Carmichael, and Ellen Oliver. Angela is a 2017 Artist in Residence at Bearnstow, ME, a 2017 Residency Choreographer for Onstage Dance Company in Somerville, MA, and a 2018 NEXT Residency Choreographer for Urbanity in Boston, MA. She is currently performing, choreographing, and teaching with Providance Project, a contemporary dance collaborative created with dance artist Ellen Oliver. In addition, she is a co-creator of 3 Spice Dance with Molly Hess and Ellen Oliver. Angela is on faculty at Providence Ballet Theater and AS220 in Providence, RI. When not dancing, Angela can be found teaching kickboxing classes, lifting weights, and drinking coffee.
